The six-year Standard Teaching Certificate may be renewed with proof of 15 clock hours of professional development activities or 1 semester hour of college coursework for each year of the certificate term. This means you will need 90 clock hours or 6 semester hours of college coursework by the time you need to renew.

Each Teaching Channel with Learners Edge 3-credit course requires approximately 45 hours for course completion.

The Provisional Teaching Certificate is valid for three years and must be converted to a six-year Standard Teaching Certificate at least two months prior to it expiring.
